Research Training - library sessions to support your research

The Library is offering a number of drop-in sessions specifically for researchers this semester. All sessions take place in the Headington Library Training Room, 12.00 - 13.00.     Information at your desktop : finding your way around the Electronic Library

This session provides details of the range of electronic resources available at your desktop, including electronic journals, journal collections, databases and reference resources:
Tuesday 7 February and Friday 2 March.

Keeping up-to-date - Keep abreast of new research and development in your subject area: find out how to keep up-to-date with new publications in journals, books, conferences and more; track your research using the Web of Science citation indexes: 
Thursday 23 February and Friday 9 March.

EndNote Training - EndNote sessions in the library

The Library is offering a number of training sessions on EndNote reference management service. All sessions take place in the Headington Library Training Room, 12-1. There is no need to book.


Introduction to EndNote Web - these sessions cover the basics of getting started with EndNote Web, including adding references both manually and automatically: 
Thursday 10 February; Tuesday 15 February; Thursday 3 March; Wednesday 16 March; Monday 4 April.


An introduction to the key features of EndNote X5Thursday 29 March
EndNote X5 is the latest desktop version of EndNote which is available on all the university networked pcs. It includes more enhanced features than the Web version


EndNote drop-in sessions:  to help you with your EndNote (desktop or Web) questions and problems. Bring along any queries you have and a copy of your EndNote library and associated Word documents - there will be an opportunity to do some practical work: 
Tuesday 28 February or Monday 19 March.
